Pico, I think we might have a winner for you. Welcome to Nicole's Purple Haze.

  • a winner of WHAT, exactly? my god, i am going to read this blog and diss it mercilessly. i mean, pick a part and i can rant on how this is exactly the person i'd hate to meet in nyc.

but it does remind me of a softball game i played a few falls ago. my team of rogues couldn't win many games but we played some cats from arista records. the men and women were very pretty and we whipped up on them.

  • Actually, I was just concentrating on the pic she had. After reading a little, maybe I agree with you. But feel free to riff on any of her posts....

  • ecch! the city is filled with pretty women and people who make you want to tear your hair out. sometimes they are the same.

so, here, we have a suburban kid, and perhaps black "like me" (a loaded phrase there) and from the 'burbs (though probably nicer than mine-- we couldn't afford LI). NYU students are often ridiculous, self-important humans (I say this as a student of the school and with many NYU friends). she announces profiles as lame and then writes one. way to show your spine, sister!

and then she disses cribs. there are lots of things that i don't like but if it's not my life, and not remotely related to my life, i leave it alone. it's okay for her to comment on cribs, though. but then she decries opulence but does not seem to be particularly spartan. and then-- if you are nauseated by rap videos and the obviously silly mtv culture, why the HELL are you watching?! turn it off, put the remote down.
